In honor of the various Badasses born in the tough-as-nails’ month, DMG Entertainment has compiled a list of the biggest, baddest Leos in Hollywood. Summary: Born in Syracuse, New York, Tom Cruise started his acting career at 19 in ENDLESS LOVE (1981). Sylvester Stallone  Born: Sylvester Gardenzio Stallone Birthdate: July 6, 1946 Occupation: Actor, Screenwriter, Director


Summary: Although the lower left side of Stallone’s face was paralyzed during a difficult birth, the famed movie star turned the accident into his signature snarled appearance. With a menacing look and tough upbringing, Stallone easily portrayed a silver screen badass in such films as ROCKY (1976), FIRST BLOOD (1982), DEMOLITION MAN (1993), GET CARTER (2000), and THE EXPENDABLES (2010). Best known for playing Rocky Balboa and John Rambo, Stallone is one of the most popular action movie stars in history. Jesse Ventura   Born: James George Janos Birthdate: July 15, 1951 Occupation: WWF Wrestler, Film Actor, Governor


Summary: With such jobs as U.S Navy SEAL, bodyguard, professional wrestler, actor, and governor, Jesse Ventura effortlessly showcases his nerves of steel. As an actor, Ventura appeared in such films as PREDATOR (1987), RUNNING MAN (1987), DEMOLITION MAN (1993), and BATMAN & ROBIN (1997). Needless to say, Venture is a badass on-screen and off-screen.

James Cagney   Born: James Francis Cagney, Jr. Birthdate: July 17, 1899 Occupation: Actor, Dancer


Summary: Despite starting his performance career as a tap dancer, James Cagney transformed himself into an intimidating force on-screen. After signing with Warner Brothers, Cagney starred in such films as THE PUBLIC ENEMY (1931), ANGELS WITH DIRTY FACES (1938), THE ROARING TWENTIES (1939), and WHITE HEAT (1949). Who know a tap dancer would end up creating the iconic film role of short-fused gangster? Ernest Hemingway   Born: Ernest Miller Hemingway Birthdate: July 21, 1899 Occupation: Novelist, Journalist


Summary: From the frontlines of WW1 to the safaris of Africa, Ernest Hemingway described his life’s adventures using an understated writing style. Hemingway wrote such novels as THE SUN ALSO RISES (1926), A FAREWELL TO ARMS (1929), FOR WHOM THE BELL TOLLS (1940), and THE OLD MAN AND THE SEA (1952). With strong masculine values and an unquenchable desire to explore, Hemingway was as tough as he was creative. Awards: One Pulitzer Prize and one Nobel Prize.

Arnold Schwarzenegger   Born: Arnold Alois Schwarzenegger Birthdate: July 30,1947 Occupation: Bodybuilder, Actor, Businessman, Politician


Summary: Born in Graz, Austria, Arnold Schwarzenegger captured the international spotlight after becoming Mr. Universe at the age of 20. Summary: Born in Georgia, U.S, Laurence Fishburne lied about his age to get his first major role in the film APOCALYPSE NOW (1979). Although Fishburne earned himself recognition of being one of Hollywood’s most versatile actors, Fishburne’s most memorable characters were tough as nails. Some of his most notable badass films include KING OF NEW YORK (1990), BOYZ N THE HOOD (1991), DEEP COVER (1992) THE MATRIX (1999) and MYSTIC RIVER (2003). From spoon bending to gun firing, Laurence Fishburne’s portrayal of badass characters continues to command the attention and respect of audiences around the world. Wesley Snipes   Born: Wesley Trent Snipes Birthdate: July 31, 1963 Occupation: Actor, Martial Artist, Producer


Summary: Raised in New York, U.S, Wesley Snipes’ martial arts skills gave him access to Hollywood. After an agent took notice of Snipes during a martial arts competition, he began to act in television shows and music videos.
