Job title: Senior Copywriter

Report to :Creative Director/Group Head
Subordinate:copywriter

Purpose of the role:
The Senior Copywriter works in creative partnership with an Art Director to concept, create, and produce effective creative deliverables. The Senior Copywriter is responsible for the verbal and textual content of these deliverables.

Accountabilities:

Works closely with Creative Directors, Account Executive and Strategic Planner to understand client creative brief
Brainstorms with Art Director to create innovative, groundbreaking concepts for print, OOH, radio, digital and television that strategically deliver within the confines of the client brief
Write clear, persuasive, original copy
Submits ideas and discusses progress with the Creative Directors and Executive Creative
Directors before making presentations to clients
Interacts with, presents to, and explains creative concepts both internally and to clients as required at all levels
Works collaboratively with Broadcast Producer, Studio, Art Buyer, Interactive Producer,
Account Executive and Project Management to ensure proposed creative solution can be feasibly executed within the time and budget given on the brief
Oversees campaign from concept through production to completion
Attends shoots to provide creative supervision and quality controls for third parties in the production process such as directors, photographers, illustrators and artists Provides concept development for and participates in new business pitches as needed

 Capability Requirements:
Keeps up to date with popular culture and trends
Stays abreast of current trends in creative work produced within the advertising industry
Ability to submit a reel and portfolio of creative work
Well-developed communication skills, including the ability to articulate creative concepts andrationale for client and team
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously

Qualification:

  • Minimum of 4 years experience in a copywriter role
  • Previous 4A and/or international Ad agency experience
  • Experience working with large car brands in a creative capacity
  • Solid understanding of Agency and creative process
  • Superior organizational and time management skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Great communication skills in order to maintain good relationships with clients and colleague
  • Continually drive for results and highest quality standards
  • Knowledge of the Chinese luxury automotive industry and luxury consumer would be a plus

Background /Experience and special requirement

  • Minimum of 4 years experience in a copywriter role
  • Previous 4A and/or international Ad agency experience

 

Education:

  • BA in Marketing or related fields
