The Senior Entertainment PR Director will lead the Chinese PR projects and brands in development of strategy, media relations, event execution, etc. The ideal candidate must understand the objectives and goals of the company and translate them into actionable communications strategies and plans. The ideal candidate must have strong insights on China pop culture including Film, TV, Gaming, Comic Books, etc. as well as understanding the Chinese digital landscape. This Senior Entertainment PR Director will cover both product and corporate PR for this high profile Entertainment Brand.

Responsibilities of the role – Be responsible for planning, developing and executing the strategic communication plan to strengthen and protect DMG’s corporate image internally and externally, contributing to DMG China business goals;

– Implement integrated communication programs that support the development of DMG’s brand, content and products;

– Constantly keep abreast of company projects and identify dynamic scoops and resourceful media angles for greatest positive exposure;

– Develop and execute original brand communications/storytelling while effectively delivering through the most important digital and traditional media channels;

– Develop a comprehensive database of media resources across both digital and traditional channels, establishing strong relationships with key contacts at the highest levels;

– Provide communications counseling to senior management, helping to enhance the company’s success by applying proactive and reactive communication strategies, including crisis management;

– Create unique PR campaigns for corporate clients, managed talent, and entertainment projects;

– Work closely with other departments and teams to achieve organizational goals;

– Responsible for planning and monitoring the company’s marketing and communications budgets;

– Effectively build up and manage a PR team by introducing industry talents and being an effective leader


What you will need

– University graduate with major in Public Relations, Journalism, Advrtising, Marketing, International relations or related field

– Minimum of 10 years working experience in the corporate and product communications field, including 3+ year as a PR Director or above

– Strong insights on China pop culture including Film, TV, Gaming, Comic Books, etc.

– An Established network of both digital and traditional Media Relations & Contacts of the highest caliber

– Deep understanding of the Chinese digital landscape

– Proven leadership abilities and a track record in managing a PR team

– Exceptional Interpersonal, Presentation, and Oral Communication Skills, and Excellent Creative Writing Skills

– Continually drive for results and highest quality standards

– Ability to keep composure in high stress situations

– Experienced people manager, demonstrating strong mentoring and leadership abilities

– Superior organizational and time management skills and systematic thinking ability

– Bilingual Mandarin and English preferred
